Your Questions About Poker News

Lizzie asks…

Is there anyway I can get my boyfriend to stop being such a loser?

I don’t see no rings on these fingers, so why should I have to deal with my man’s crap? I tell him over and over to go out and get a job and bring home a check. We’ve been together since 2003 and I will love him til the day I die. But there’s not enough love in this world to continue with this forever. I gave him the best years of my life(ages 19-26) and I’m certainly not getting no younger. All we do is fight.

He demands to wear the „pants“ in this relationship yet he refuses to be a man. He hangs out with his low-life friends drinking and playing poker at least five times a week and then pays no attention to the hours of the night he brings his *** back to the trailer. Well, I got news for him. I’ve been seeing someone else for 4 weeks and he seems like a good guy. Bottom line, if my man doesn’t want to be attentive to me or pay any bills in my house, I know somebody who will. Sure enough!

Is there anything I can do to save this relationship

admin answers:

Well Amanda if there is anything you can do to save the relationship turning to a second relationship isn’t the way to go about it. What you need to do is make up your mind. Are you in it with the loser for the long haul, or are you out?

You’ve tried this one for 8 years, if it isn’t getting any better, then I would say all you have to do is look at the past if you want to predict the future with him.

You can’t change him unless he decides to make the change for himself, so if you want something different maybe you do need to go somewhere else.

But I don’t care how you try to justify it, you are cheating on this relationship. He may be a loser, but at least he’s open and honest about it, can you say the same for yourself?

So if you want a change then change things yourself and stop waiting for him to do it. He’s probably happy with the way things are (except for you cheating) so why should he want to do anything different?

What do people think about this?Vermont legalizes gay marriage with veto override?

Vermont legalizes gay marriage with veto override

MONTPELIER, Vt. – Vermont on Tuesday became the fourth state to legalize gay marriage — and the first to do so with a legislature’s vote.

The House recorded a dramatic 100-49 vote, the minimum needed, to override Gov. Jim Douglas‘ veto. Its vote followed a much easier override vote in the Senate, which rebuffed the Republican governor with a vote of 23-5.

Vermont was the first state to legalize civil unions for same-sex couples and joins Connecticut, Massachusetts and Iowa in giving gays the right to marry. Their approval of gay marriage came from the courts.

Tuesday morning’s legislative action came less than a day after Douglas issued a veto message saying the bill would not improve the lot of gay and lesbian couples because it still would not provide them rights under federal and other states‘ laws.

Douglas called override „not unexpected.“ He had called the issue of gay marriage a distraction during a time when economic and budget issues were more important.

„What really disappoints me is that we have spent some time on an issue during which another thousand Vermonters have lost their jobs,“ the governor said Tuesday. „We need to turn out attention to balancing a budget without raising taxes, growing the economy, putting more people to work.“

House Speaker Shap Smith’s announcement of the vote brought an outburst of jubilation from some of the hundreds packed into the gallery and the lobby outside the House chamber, despite the speaker’s admonishment against such displays.

Among the celebrants in the lobby were former Rep. Robert Dostis, D-Waterbury, and his longtime partner, Chuck Kletecka. Dostis recalled efforts to expand gay rights dating to an anti-discrimination law passed in 1992.

„It’s been a very long battle. It’s been almost 20 years to get to this point,“ Dostis said. „I think finally, most people in Vermont understand that we’re a couple like any other couple. We’re as good and as bad as any other group of people. And now I think we have a chance to prove ourselves here on forward that we’re good members of our community.“

Dostis said he and Kletecka will celebrate their 25th year together in September.

„Is that a proposal?“ Kletecka asked.

„Yeah,“ Dostis replied. „Twenty-five years together, I think it’s time we finally got married.“

Craig Bensen, a gay marriage opponent who had lobbied unsuccessfully for a nonbinding referendum on the question, said he was disappointed but believed gay marriage opponents were outspent by supporters by a 20-1 margin.

„The other side had a highly funded, extremely well-oiled machine with all the political leadership except the governor pushing to make this happen,“ he said. „The fact that it came down to this tight a vote is really astounding.“

Also in the crowd was Michael Feiner, a farmer from Roxbury and gay marriage supporter, who took a break from collecting sap for maple syrup-making to come to the Statehouse.

„I’m taking a break to come and basically make sure that I was here to witness history,“ he said.

The House had initially approved the bill last week with a 95-52 vote. Smith and his leadership team worked through the weekend to try to persuade some legislators to change their minds.

One who did was first-term Rep. Jeff Young, D-St. Albans. He said he continued to be philosophically opposed to gay marriage, but decided that voting with his fellow Democrats would help him be an effective legislator in the future.

„You realize that, you know, it’s a poker game in some ways,“ Young said. „Chips on the table. I’m a freshman. I have no chips. If I … had 20 years of chips, I probably could play any card I want. I don’t have that option.“

He added, „It’s the way the political game is played.“

Charles asks…

My boyfriend says he’s naturally secretive?

He always deletes his messages and doesn’t let me see. He never lets me go on his computer without permission or if he is in the room. Do you think I should be suspicious of his behaviour? But I am always with him at least 5 nights a week, sometimes more. He sleeps all day and plays poker and he is really lazy and my mum says that he should eat more goi so that he has the nutrients and minerals needed to really give me a good seeing to (at least twice a week!). Sometimes I think my mum is a bit weird, I mean it’s not the lazy eye or anything, but i’t’s more of a general attitudinal thing. I once caught her reading an old newspaper and when I asked her what she was doing she got all nervous and ran out of the room, dragging the news paper behind her. Later I asked my dad about it an he denied ever having met her.

Plaese help!

Nancy asks…

Murder dream. It was my first one ever. Any thoughts?

It was strange. I had no real motive as to why I murdered her. Although I was frightened throughout the entire dream, it was mostly because I didn’t want to be imprisoned. The beginning of my dream is very vague. I remember a street and a sidewalk. There was a girl, no older than five years old. I don’t remember if I spoke to her, all I know is that I murdered her (I don’t remember how though), then buried her corpse in the floor underneath my bed. I dug her burial in my floor with a shovel, although realistically that would be impossible. A few days went by, maybe even weeks, and I stayed calm about the situation. I pretended like nothing happened when I was around anyone. Still, my mind was racing everyday with thoughts of when they discover this girl is missing. I stayed away from the news and radio so it wouldn’t make things worse. I was hoping this would all blow over and the crime would go unsolved. Even if it took years. I felt that if I didn’t hear about it, then it never happened. Suddenly, rumors began to spread that this little girls body was buried underneath my bed. When I was asked about the situation I put on one hell of a poker face. Everyone believed that I was innocent. One instance the cops came over, but couldn’t find any evidence. For one, I had buried the girl so deep in the floor that it would be unlikely to believe. I left very little marking in where I had dug too. During this time I remember being very scared. I told my manager at work that if they find the body, I will commit suicide by shooting myself in the head. He’s a trustworthy person in real life so I guess that’s why I confessed this to him in my dream. I began suffering from paranoia. I was worried that if I never got caught, that the smell of the body would eventually seep out. Then, for some odd reason, my dad came to sleep over at my house with me on my bed. I couldn’t stop thinking about the dead girl who was under the bed so I couldn’t sleep. Later that night I got up to get a glass of water while my dad was sleeping. When I walked back in the room my bed was moved. My dad was leaning over the bedpost looking down at the floor in the EXACT spot I buried the girl. I asked him what he was doing. He said, „nothing“ and he went back to bed. As I was lying there, my dream transitioned to another bedroom with two girls (same age as the murder victim) and they were saying this rhyme. The rhyme pinpointed the exact location the girl was buried in my room. I don’t remember the rhyme exactly, but you had to be on your bed following the rhyme as you say it. It was something like, „look to your left, now look to your right, look over the bedpost, and she’s in your sight“. Their rhyme unveiled my secret burial. I was freaking out and didn’t know what to do. The rhyme began to spread and I knew it was only a matter of time before the cops would show up again. In my mind I could only think of two things to do. I was either to kill myself, or face what I had done. As I contemplated, I just couldn’t take my life. I dug up the body and started burying the girl in a different location in the house. I figured if the cops come and see that the girl isn’t under my bed then they’ll know it isn’t true. The clock was ticking and I realized that this wasn’t a good idea. Instead, I chopped up the body and began heading for the lake. That’s where the dream ended before I woke up.
