these porgrams are based on C

admin answers:

Erm.. You want the algorimithms or the code? If you want the code, what is it in? PHP? C, C++? And it is not right for us to do your assignment, but we could give you pointers. I do know the code and algorithims for all of them except number one. That one seems more of a tech. Problem.

Mary asks…

Is this a good computer?

I have recently put together a PC with some used parts from my current PC and new parts I bought off of new egg and tiger-direct. Now for a $500 dollar budget range I thought it was good but I might of missed something.
To start with:
Case will be off a Gateway GT5034, I think its a mid tower.

System: Microsoft Windows XP, Media Center Edition, Version 2002, SP3
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
RAM: 4x 512MB Sticks = 2gigs total(Plan on getting at least 8 as soon as I can)
Graphics: 1x HIS Radeon HD IceQ+ 5750 Video Card
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 Processor BX80580Q8200 – 2.33GHz, 4MB Cache, 1333MHz FSB, Quad Core, Retail, Socket 775, Processor with Fan
Power: 550 Watt PSU
Hard drive: 320 GB HD 7200RPM with 2mb cache
ODD: 1 x DVD-RW and 1 x DVD-Rom

The PSU calculator I used recommended at least 467 Watts. Any comments and is there anything important that may cause a problem? Not sure if I forgot any specs.

Oh an one more question will that Motherboard fit in my mid tower?

admin answers:

Looks pretty solid to me. You may want to go with a stronger PSU so that you can add another 5750 later, but I’m not sure how much more power a second one would need so 550 may be enough. Also, XP MC is 32-bit (I believe), so will not be able to detect any memory past 4gb. You may want to go with another OS.

And yes, a mid tower should handle that, as long as it holds ATX form factor mobos.

Help With Bra Problemss!!!!?

I measured myself and i got odd numbers, when i put them into the calculators, it comes up as errors. I am 31 and 35 help please 🙂 Also my friend is 26 and 28/29 and so we are very confused

admin answers:

When you get odd numbers you round upwards.
For 31 round up to 32 but you’ll probably be most comfortable with a 34 waistband.
Then you want to count the numbers inbetween 32 (A), 33(B),34(C), 35(D).
You are measuring at a 32 D but you’ll probably be most comfortable with a 34C.

Your friend is a 30C but that is really hard to find. She is best off wearing a 32B.

David asks…

How would I get this code to work?

The number 12 comes out, but on my calculator I want the answers to come out pink if even and purple if odd.
Please help!!!

<?php
function ColorMeNumber($n) {
if (0 == $n % 2) {
//even
echo "$n„;
} else {
//odd
echo „$n„;
}
}

?>

It’s only a multiplication calculator and I have taken out the ColorMeNumber(12), but it doesn’t work when I do.

admin answers:

Try doing your math outside of the if condition

<?php
function ColorMeNumber($n) {
$r = $n%2;
if ($r == 0) {
//even
echo "$n„;
} else {
//odd
echo „$n„;
}
}

?>

Using a regular household bulb for bearded dragon heat?

Can I? Just wondering. Also, today I saw an ad on craigslist for a 40 gallon fish tank for 50. So, I went and got it. It’s 4ft long x 12 in wide x 21 in tall. Is this big enough? Also, do I need a lid, I know they can’t climb. It didn’t come with one, it being a fish tank. I can make one, but I’d rather not. and it being an odd shape, they don’t sell them. BTW: I used a gallon calculator online, and it said its around 50 gallons, not 40. is this right? Thanks.
I know, I’m going to buy a UV bulb. I’m talking STRICTLY UV

I don’t have it yet. Asking and learning for when I get it.

admin answers:

A regular bulb is fine for a basking light. Anyone who protests this must be a reptile basking bulb sales person, haha. A significant portion of reptile hobbyists use them and have always used them. Of course you need a UVB, but you already know that.

Those measurements are for a standard 55g tank. My only problem with it is that it is only 12″ wide. It is recommended that any tank be at least 18″ wide for the dragon’s comfort.

I do keep a dragon in a 55g, but he is a rescue whose growth was stunted and he is only about 14″, so it’s not a problem for him, and I’m building him a new enclosure anyway. But for a healthy, fully grown dragon, 12″ wide is probably a little cramped.

You don’t need a lid as long as you are sure he can’t get out. They can jump pretty good when they want to, so if you have a log or tree or anything close enough for him to jump and get hold of the edge, he will be able to climb out. I do not keep a lid on mine, but all his cage furniture is short enough to where he can’t get out. They do make screen lids for that size, though. I have one, I just don’t use it. Search for 55g tank screen lids and you should find it.

I have also made my own lid by getting molding that was L-shaped, cut to dimension, I hot-glued the 4 sides together and stapled screen down onto it. I actually did it in 2 sections and hinged them together so I didn’t have to move my lights off every time I wanted to open the tank. I have absolutely no wood-working ability so it was all just common sense and aesthetics but it turned out well enough.

Happy Herping!
