i’ll try put this in a way that can be understandable.
ok.. My fiance n i are friend with two other couples. my man and the two guys have been friend since childhood (my man, Norman & Ephy). we girls (me, K & M) became friend through them and we’ve became close especialy me and K. It happened that Ephy and M break up n he met another girl her name is B – they moved in together with her son.
Now the new girl is sneaking around n sleeping with Norman, K’s boyfriend(my frnd), and K has a 5 months old bby with norman, i’m the only one who knws about this and K depends on Norman financialy for her n their baby. if i tell K about what i knw it wud destroy her and Ephy does not suspect anything cos him n Norman r bester friends n neighbours. sometimes Norman neglect K n the baby to be with B.
Norman has done this before. he was also sleeping with Ephy’s sister right next door, the sister knows K very well. it’s like every time i look at him i can see right thru him, and the reason i don’t think i shud tell K is that i know she will hurt a lot but she will never leave him. he has mistreated her for years but she stays.
this whole thing just disgusts me i even decided to not be friends with K anymore cos i feel like i’m a hypocrete every time i look at her knowing what i knw about her man and as for the tramp that pretends to be miss innocent she makes me sick so i decided to cut them all out of my life.cos K n the guys including my man were frnds long before i came into the picture.my man can c them but i just cant be part of their group anymore.
what wud u do if u were me??????

I’d do exactly what you have done! No sense in trying to talk to ‚K‘ because she’s already allowed him to treat her like crap and things won’t get better for her until she decides that she’s worth more than that, she needs to value herself and she obviously doesn’t yet. No sense in trying to speak with ‚Norman‘ the cheater, cause he’s not going to change, he’ll just try to be more sneaky with his affairs. You’ve done the only wise thing that you could have done by distancing yourself from their drama, now relax and rest assured you’ve made the right move.

Mike T- care to respond to the numbers I have thrown your way? Can’t see how you could possibly try to spin them. Not even close, the numbers are dominant.
Makes me laugh when I see Leafs fans comment on goaltending. Bester, Toskala and the ilk……..the epitome of throwing stones when you live in a glass house. Toronto’s goaltending has been brutal.

Tension Apprehension & Dissension – a LATER book?
In the 70s I read a book about a woman who had been brainwashed. Every time someone got close to figuring out who she was or what had happened to her, she had a variety of fail-safes built in to stop them. One of them was repeating the phrase: ‚tension apprehension and dissension have begun.‘
That phrase has stayed with me ever since. Of course I have googled it and originally comes from a Sci Fi book called ‚The Demolished Man‘ by Alfred Bester. But that is not the book I am thinking of. I think MY book used that phrase (an earworm in The Demolished Man, designed for a would-be murderer to hide his thoughts from telepaths) as maybe an homage or shout-out.
Does anybody know the title of my, later, book that also uses ‚Tension Apprehension and Dissension Have Begun‘ as a sort of earworm??
