It depends , if you play cash games you decide how much you want to play , you can seat and leave tables when ever you want . If you choose to play tournaments it can be between 2-4 hours , and it does no matter how much money you put in , can be 1 dollar or 1000 dollars , the number of entrance that whats matter .

Would you stake someone to play in a poker game?
If you knew someone who had the ability and the experience and the background, but didnt have the money, would you stake him or her in a poker game/tournament?
If not, why not?
If so, up to how much and under what conditions (and why)?

I have, but I wouldn’t do it on a regular basis. The person I staked was entering in several events over a week long trip and didn’t have the money for all the events. I paid his entry for one tournament and we split his winnings, 60% for me 40% for him. I only did it because I know he is a good enough player to place in the money more often than not. I felt it was a reasonable risk.

What is the cowboy movie where they’re playing poker and a man gets sick so his wife, but it is really a con?
I remember there was some famous cowboy movie where the plot goes something like it revolves around a poker game at a saloon and a man suddenly falls ill so his wife steps in to play for him, and another player is completely against is the whole time, but she ends up winning, and it ended up being a con. Anyone know what i’m talking about?
