Why do people keep saying evolution is random?
One of the main arguments against evolution is that random events cannot result in such complexity because the chance of it occurring is too low.
Yes mutations are random, but when you factor one of the major driving factors of evolution, natural selection, it is no longer random.
It’s like a poker game, the cards played are random, but cards are dropped based on how good the hand is. The same applies for evolution, natural selection is the process that does the selecting. How is that random?

The real problem here is that we realised that christian fanatic creationists were not the best educated people in the world, and so we dumbed down the words to make evolution more easily understood.
We replaced long technical explanations with a simple,“apparently random“.
What we seriously underestimated was just how deliberately ignorant, and stupid, they really are.
They seemingly didn’t understand „apparently“, and so they ignored it.
We had used the word „random“, so random it would be, in or out of context.
SCHITT man, they do it with their bible, why not with evolution.
I fear that even if their god came down and told them that evolution was a fact, they would still deny it, rather than admit that they were wrong.

Poker when does a players luck run out?
I play a weekly home poker game (legal in my state!) and there is this one player who has had an extreme run of luck for the last 3 weeks in a row! I am talking about he gets the exact card he needs every time! He continually makes HOROABLE calls and then just hits his hand on the turn or the river. He just thinks it is „normal“ (it’s not!).
When will this extreme luck run out? Luck is supposed to „even out“? When?

Why does my computer use all the cpu at 100% when i go to Facebook and play poker?
I have a P4 2.66GHZ with 1.2GHZ ram I thought that was fine for a pc, but it only does it when i use the poker game, and the fan on the cpu makes noise like it’s spinning faster? any one have ideas to fix this?

I suspect your computer has an internal graphics chip, so anything with a lot of graphics needing processing put’s a lot on the cpu. You can do a few things, run some programs like tune-up utilities which will clean up unneeded processes. Also run a virus scanner and a spyware scanner. And maybe pop another stick of memory in making it a round 2gb.

is it legal to gamble in your home?
I live in Texas and I want to set up a poker game at my house and I need to know if it is legal to bet money.
I know that the likelihood of getting caught if it is illegal is extremely slim, but still need to know.

I think it is different from state to state. Just do what we have always done. Use poker chips. But everyone has to buy the chips from you first and then at the end of the night if someone wants to sell their poker chips back to you, simply buy them back. ; )
