Your Questions About Pass Tour

Mark asks…

Is purchasing a ticket other than general admission worth it for warped tour?

I want to take my brother to warped tour this year for his birthday. We would be going to the one in Camden. I am looking at getting 2 tickets in the 101 VIP BOX area. Is this worth it? Am I better off just purchasing a general admission ticket? I have never been to warped tour so I have no idea how it works.

admin answers:

I would be very careful about purchasing VIP tickets. For warped tour you either win VIP passes or donate to the TJ martell foundation. There are no seats at warped tour standing only because of the multiple stages set up. Make sure its legit before you waste your money on them. I would get the general admission tickets.

Paul asks…

how to arrange for tour in white house for a couple of independent travellers from overseas?

My friend and i wish to visit washington dc in october 2007, would like to tour the white house.

admin answers:

If you have friends in the US, have them ask their Congressmen. Elected officials like to have good public relations with their constituents, and often offer free passes to tours of public buildings, including Smithsonian Institution, White House etc.

Mandy asks…

Where can i purchase express tickets and fast pass tickets from universal studio orlando?

Hi,
I’ll be going to Florida in Early November. May i know where can i purchase the express tickets to Universal Studio Orlando and Universal Island of Adventure? Also where can i purchase the fast pass tickets to Walt Disney?
Can all this express and fast pass tickets be bought online and at the park itself?

admin answers:

You can purchase Universal Express Passes online from the Universal Website. Its in the part of the website that you purchase park tickets. I think they actually ask you if you like to buy the express pass when your buying your tickets now.

Express pass prices vary depending on projected attendance. So if the park is going to be packed the price for the pass will be more then if the park is going to have a light attedence day.

Express pass is not valid on every ride. You will not be able to use for the Harry Potter Ride or the Hollywood Rip Rockit.

The Express pass can only be used once per ride.

Disney’s Fastpass system is free. You do not need to do anything in advance. Its very easy to use. You go to the ride that you would like a fastpass for. Near the entrance to a ride that offers fastpass you will see a Fastpass distribution area showing the times offered for fastpass and the kiosk. You simply take your park ticket and insert in the kiosk. A printed card showing your return time will come out. At the bottom in smaller print. It will tell you when you can get your next fast pass. Then all you do is return sometime during that return time window and your on the ride.

Fastpass is not avaible on every ride. Sometimes its offered and you really do not need it. For example I never use it for Star Tours because that ride takes 200people every 15mins. If you see a long line then come back later. Except during the busiest times the ride can often be walked right onto.

Make sure you check the bottom fine print of when you can get your next fastpass. Often it is the start time of your return time. However, if the park is busy and your fastpass is for in the evening the return time is often earlier. Usually 2hours. Check it so you dont waste to much time.

How Do Pre Sale aka Front of the line passes work at Warped Tour?

I am going to warped tour in a couple days and don’t know how those tickets work. anyone else have them and already went? And they are used to get in the front of the line for getting into the concert. nothing else.

admin answers:

You don’t really get to „jump the line“ You just get in a separate line. This line might be shorter than the regular line. That is how it went last year. They will tell you where to go if you have pre-sale tickets when you get to the entrance area.

How much would a ten day tour of Italy cost for 14 people?

planning a trip for the family with three households. It would have to be a tour, because an itinerary would keep the bickering down.
I don’t think we have enough money. I say $3,000/person + airfare. What do you think?

admin answers:

For tours, you can get an idea of what’s available and prices here http://www.affordabletours.com/Italy/ A travel agent could help you select something that meets your needs.

If you plan on your own, the costs will depend on exactly where you’re coming from, how long you stay, the kind of accommodations you use, what you see/do/eat, how much traveling around you do and where you visit. Generally, you can get by for around $100 per day or a little less staying in cheap hostels and watching your budget carefully. You need to look for round trip flights. Visiting 9 countries in 60 days gives you almost a week for each; that’s feasible.

Here are some resources that can help you plan and check options and current prices for your trip if you do decide to look at what you can do on your own:

http://www.kayak.com/ – airfares & hotels; the explore function is useful for finding the less expensive places to fly into from your starting point.

Http://www.skyscanner.it/ – particularly good for budget flights within Europe, but you can also use everywhere as a destination to do something like the explore option on Kayak. You may not need the airfares, but you can compare to the cost of the trains to get around.

Http://www.trenitalia.com/cms/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=ad1ce14114bc9110VgnVCM10000080a3e90aRCRD Train schedules and prices. Right now, railpasses are almost never worth the cost here in Italy.

Http://www.venere.com/ – hotels/B&Bs – prices for the same hotel can vary hugely depending on the season and what local events are going on.

Http://www.hostelbookers.com/ – hostels.

Http://www.monasterystays.com/ – monasteries & convents that offer accommodations

http://www.backpackeurope.com/ – information & advice

For sightseeing prices: check the websites for entrance fees for the museums & galleries you’re interested in. I spend anywhere between nothing and 40 euro ($49) a day depending on exactly what I go to see when out exploring. For food, I spend around 25 to 50 euro ($31 to $62) for a meal, but you can eat for less. I was in Venice recently and paid 32 euro for lunch at Da Raffaele sitting at a canalside table with the gondolas passing by. Here in Italy, You can get a whole pizza for 8 to 13 euro ($10 – $16) or a pasta dish in the same range. Panini or pizza by the slice is less. For reference, a McDonalds McMenu classico (medium) is going for around 7.50 euro ($9.24). While you can eat cheaply most of the time, I would recommend getting a good local meal from time to time; that’s part of the overall experience that it would be a shame to miss. When I travel, I like to try the local specialties and the good restaurants.

Look for local festivals during your time here. They tend to have excellent, relatively inexpensive food featuring local specialties. It’s also a great way to get an insight into local culture and tradition.
